For a good case of Southern HAUNTED hospitality, head to the Audubon Cottages run by the Dauphine Orleans hotel in New Orleans. Cottage No. 4 is said to be haunted by a soldier with a penchant for country music. Once, a hotel employee opened the door to show guest into Cottage No. 4 and they say they saw a man dressed in a 1940's military uniform, who then disappeared. It has been told over and over again whenever the cottage's radio is turned to any station, the ghost changes it back to a country station. He also is said to have materialized fully to several guest when seances are held in the cottage and appears solid and as real as any live person, then simply he is said to walk into the wall. Paranormal investigators have recorded his voice saying, I need to leave." and several images on film and video have captured a glimpse of his stern face or flash of his uniform and medals.
Many guests have come forward to tell their haunted stories of this ghost. Guests have also reported seeing mysterious wet footprints, and women and men dressed in vintage clothing. Many strange nightly rapping noises, moving objects, sheets pulled off you in the middle of the night, disembodied voices, and feelings of someone tugging at their feet have also been reported.
Our Ghost Hunter University series begins on Friday evening, July 24th, with our popular Ghost Hunting 101 seminar. This seminar covers the basics of ghost hunting, from ghost hunting protocol, to equipment used in the field, to definitions and examples of positive and negative evidence.
A dinner break follows this seminar, and we reconvene back at the cottages for a fully interactive paranormal investigation after the break.
The night is completed with an evidence sharing and wrap-up session after the investigation.
The following night, Saturday, July 25th, we offer our more in-depth Ghost Hunting 102 seminar. This seminar allows attendees to learn more about the paranormal, as we delve deeper into its realm. Shadow People, Demons, and Elementals are discussed, and how to interpret EVP is also a focus during this seminar.
As with the previous evening, a dinner break follows the seminar.
Again, an interactive paranormal investigation of the property follows the dinner break, as does an evidence sharing and wrap-up session. As always, Christopher Moon will be using Frank's Box, also known as the Telephone to the Dead, during the investigations, and DISCOUNTED private readings will be available to event attendees during his time in New Orleans for those who are interested. There are many awesome attractions in New Orleans, and Bourbon Street is open all night, so before and after our events, feel free to LIVE IT UP in NEW ORLEANS, THE BIG EASY!!!
